Sri Nrsimha Chaturdasi
May 17-18
Appearance Anniversary of Lord Nrsimhadeva
It
is often difficult to traverse the stormy ocean of life and sometimes
even harder to overcome the turbulent mind. We often need a greater
strength to help us face our inner weaknesses and to keep us afloat amid
external disturbances.
The presence and grace of Lord Nrsimhadeva
can carry us further than we expect. He is the powerful
half-man-half-lion incarnation of the Lord who appeared to protect His
pure devotee Prahlada. Amid the life-threatening dangers that Prahlada
faced, Lord Nrsimhadeva was his constant companion and savior, and thus
Prahlada emerged victorious.
Similarly, Lord Nrsimhadeva offers His protection, guidance, and strength to anyone who takes shelter of Him.
Please
join us on Nrsimha Chaturdasi to celebrate the glorious appearance
anniversary of Lord Nrsimhadeva and to take shelter of His divine power
and grace.
New Vrindaban is home to a larger-than-life Nrsimhadeva
Deity, which is rare to the western world. Don’t miss the opportunity to
see the Deity in His fierce Ugra-Nrsimha form in a special evening
darshan and arati. A sacred fire ceremony (Nrsimha Maha-yajna) will also
be held to invoke the blessings of Lord Nrsimhadeva, and a sumptuous
feast will be served in His honor.
Please take note of the following two-day festivities, so you don’t miss out on any of the special events:
